Hi Connie,
I have heard back from my interview with the RCMP. I have been recommended to move forward in the application process.
I just wanted to thank you for your advice and your honest feedback. After that session with you, I felt more confident in my answers and had a better overall expectation for the interview.
Thanks again,
Emily, July 2024
Hello Connie,
Success! I would say that interview went well. Thanks to your help, I had effective answers to their questions. After the presentation element, when she was sharing more about the job, I was blown away at how she exactly listed all 12 of the competencies we prepared for. I want to thank you once again for all of your support. This performance may not have been possible if it wasn’t for your incredible advice, and I am tremendously grateful.

Connie. I finally just got the result from my hiring process at the federal government. They advised that I have been placed in a fully assessed and qualified pool and hiring managers would contact me if interested. I feel like it’s a great result for my very first time applying to the federal government in Canada. So I just wanted to convey my gratitude for your help getting here. I am 100% convinced I wouldn’t have gotten here without your excellent feedback. Thank you.
Orlando, March 2024Connie’s interview coaching was instrumental in shaping my success during the application process for the Fire Department. Her guidance and expertise provided me with the confidence and preparation necessary to tackle the interview. Through our sessions, I learned effective strategies for answering questions, highlighting my strengths, and showcasing my suitability for the role. Without a doubt, Connie’s coaching played a significant role in my interview success and ultimately securing employment with the Fire Department. I am incredibly grateful for her support and highly recommend her services to anyone seeking to excel in their interviews.

I hope you’re doing well. I just got a call from the hiring manager and I got the job! I’m still on cloud nine. 🙂 I couldn’t have done this without you. You really brought in the right tools and methods to our discussion. It helped structure my responses in a clear way and was able to communicate them effectively.I know it was a team effort, but I have to say that because of you…I feel more confident in how I present myself and my work.Thank you again for everything!! I most certainly will reach out when I apply for a management position. 😉
Michelle, March 2023I just wanted to take a moment to reach out to you, as I truly feel so incredibly grateful for all that you have done for me! I am lost for words in how to express my gratitude.Because of your coaching, I went into the RCMP Right Fit interview feeling confident and well prepared and was able to put my best foot forward. Your teaching methods are so focused, concise and well thought out. And incredibly positive. I love that! Thank you so much!
Foad, January 2023I was just informed that I have successfully passed the RCMP Right Fit Interview. Just wanted to say a big thanks again for your help! Your preparation material and especially the one-on-one zoom meeting played a massive role in me passing the RFI. I will highly recommend you to anyone that is in the same situation as me in the future!
Thanks again,
Nick, November 2021Connie’s RCMP Right Fit Interview Workbook helped me build confidence, helped me structure and format my answers and ultimately helped me pass the RFI. Everything is formatted in a super streamlined way that it is easy to understand and retain. Every tip and pointer Connie provides in here helped me. And to be completely honest, I don’t think I would have been successful without it. My weakness was trying to answer the competency and satisfy the format and confine of the competency itself. The materials here helped me finally break through.Thank you Connie and all the work you put into this guide.James, November 2021
I wanted to let you know that I was successful in landing the job and thank you for your guidance.
I’m not usually one for leaving reviews or testimonials, but when I was looking for an executive level career coach I found myself lost in a sea of Google searches with everyone claiming to be the best. I thought others should know how valuable your services are. I knew right away after the first session that you would be an asset to my career development and the time we spent doing mock interviews really helped bring my interview style to next level and reflect on my communication skills.
I really appreciated your professional approach and how quickly you tailored our sessions to be able to adapt to my specific needs, which was to gain confidence in an executive level interview setting. Even though I was interviewing for a position in the municipal government and not the federal level, I feel that I what I’ve learned could be applicable to any sector.
I will definitely be reaching out in the future for more coaching.
Thanks,Bruno, October 2021

I would like to say Thank You very much for the amazing one hour coaching session! I am very happy to let you know that I got the job!!! Although I was very nervous and felt disorganized when we met, I feel like you really helped me to get into the proper mindset for a successful interview. Many of the questions ended up being technical; however, I feel like having rehearsed several behavioural questions, it really enhanced my responses. Thanks again for helping me get organize and prioritize my preparation. I feel like it gave me the edge that I needed.I would definitely recommend you to anyone.Jennifer, December 2020I wanted to notify you regarding my successful pass on the RCMP Right Fit Interview.
Your brilliant coaching absolutely helped me boost my interviewing skills so that I could overcome the interview which at first seemed very daunting! Without your help, I do not think I would have been able to answer the interview questions in a thorough manner.
I was for sure nervous at the beginning of the interview, however, the confidence that I gained from your coaching definitely calmed me down later on.
Thank you so much for all the great tips and guidance. I would definitely recommend your coaching to my friends and others.
Again, thank you so much.
Luke, May 2020
I wanted to update you on my recent RCMP Right Fit interview.
It went well! I was completely calm and composed throughout and remembered everything I needed to. I used all of the tools you gave me, and I didn’t even hesitate when answering their questions; I just knew what to say, in order, fully and completely. It felt so right and felt great.
I couldn’t have done that without all your faith and guidance and help. You prepared me *perfectly*!
I was told it would be a week to three weeks to hear back, but I heard back hours later that I’d moved on to the next stage of the process!
Thank you for taking all of your extensive knowledge and sharing it in such a clear and concise manner. Thank you for helping people find their way through to their dreams. Thank you.
Kirsten, April 2020
I just wanted to let you know that I heard back from DND yesterday and was informed that I did great on the interview and was offered a job. I went into the interview and was surprised that I wasn’t nervous at all. I felt prepared and I had a good example ready for all of the behavioural questions asked. The workbook did an outstanding job of getting me to prepare answers for a variety of common questions and to have past experiences to pull on for examples. It was great having two questions for each of the common competencies. I went into our first coaching session pretty nervous unsure of how it would go. I felt like it went good because of the preparation with the workbook but I still felt nervous about the interview. I was able to go home and apply and think about what we talked about in the first session. The second coaching session was exactly what I needed. I went into it feeling more confident and prepared than the first session. I was much more happy with my responses in our second session and left that session feeling prepared and ready to tackle my interview. I went into my interview very confident knowing all of the practice I put in along with your help and coaching. I honestly don’t think the outcome would have been the same without your help. I just wanted to write you to let you know that it went great and to thank you for everything!
Coady, Firefighter
May 2019I just wanted to write to you and let you know that on December 4th I got the call saying I was hired as a Police Constable with Halifax Regional Police—my biggest dream!
I cannot thank you and your amazing coaching services enough. I have no doubt that if I did not meet you I would not have had the same, positive result. While your coaching services made me confident and well prepared for the interview, the scope of what you teach goes far beyond the interview. I found that I was using skills you taught me in being articulate and speaking with confidence in a number of areas of the hiring process including the polygraph, background investigation when officers showed up at my house and also in the psychological interview. You truly helped with many stages in the process where I was required to have any type of “interview”.
You deserve a very big pat on the back for what you do. You are amazing at it and really have the ability to change peoples lives for the better. Thank you for your time, kindness and being “Connie tough” with my answers that family didn’t have the courage to tell me could use some work!
It’s been a pleasure and hopefully if you’re still doing this in 2028 I’ll be emailing you for help with the sergeants interview!
Alyssa, December 2018I had been in the same position with my same department within the Federal Government for a number of years. Given this, I had very little experience with the competency-based interview techniques used by the Federal Government. I was referred to Connie through a friend in the recruitment industry who researched possible companies for me to approach for training. Connie was her choice given her extensive background in HR and her exposure to the Federal Government hiring process. I spent several hours working with her over several weeks to develop my interviewing skills and learning to fit my responses for the Federal process. It’s an art in itself. Connie pushed me hard and taught me how to relate my answers better to the process. As she would say ‘I want more than the meat and potatoes, I want the gravy too’. I found her use of technology (Skype, email, phone) and flexibility on practice times very convenient. I was successful in getting the promotion. It was one of the only times that I felt I was very prepared for an interview and the confidence during the interview was evident. I recommend her career coaching to anyone looking to improve on their interview skills especially for performance and competency based job interviews.
Blake, Federal Government
I just wanted to follow up on our recent resume/interview coaching sessions, and let you know that today I was offered a position, which I accepted! I wanted to thank you for all of your help, and for calming my nerves and fears when it comes to interviews. It may sound silly, but you explained it in such a matter of fact way that made perfect sense to me. I was able to walk in confident and professional, and I definitely credit that to your help. In the best way possible, I hope that I won’t be needing your services again for a very, very long time, but if I do, I will definitely call you again. And recommend you to anyone who may be needing your assistance. Thank you again!
Ally, Halifax, NS, 2016
In preparation for the RCMP Regular Member Selection Interview, I purchased the full RCMP Work Book package from Connie’s website. Once I completed the Workbook, I took advantage of the 1.5 hour mock interview coaching session as a way to practice my interview skills. I then booked a second two-hour session, to supplement the Workbook package. I found the Workbook and both sessions to be very beneficial in helping me feel confident in how to answer the questions properly using the STAR and ARC formats suggested by the RCMP. It also gave me a variety of questions to prep for different ways to test each competency that I had not considered when I made a couple examples based strictly off the RCMP website information. For me and my stress levels, it was money well spent, and I don’t think that I would have been near as prepared as I was had I not received both coaching sessions from Connie. From my success in the interview, I credit much of my confidence to Connie’s personal coaching. I had heard many people get deferred at the interview stage of the process and for me, this was money well spent. Thank you Connie.”
Mark, Windsor, NS (2015 Applicant)After a mock interview and weeks of breaking down the eight competencies, I still did not feel quite confident enough going into my upcoming RMSI. Only days before the RMSI, I found Connie’s Career Coaching Services RCMP Regular Member Selection Interview Preparation Workbook and decided to purchase. Compared to the vague recollections I had previously jotted down, the questions in the workbook helped me decipher applicable examples of each competency that seemed closer to what an interviewer would be looking for. I really do not know what I would have done without this service, it truly was a key ingredient in my success of passing the RMSI. Thanks Connie!”
Anonymous, Vancouver, BC (2015)Connie was absolutely amazing at preparing me for the RMSI Interview. Without Connie’s help, I would have found the RMSI a very tough challenge to tackle without her guidance and support. Connie was patient, professional and ingrained in me the necessary skills I needed to go into the interview with full confidence using the S.T.A.R and A.R.C. Techniques.
When the time came for my interview, I was completely comfortable and confident with all the questions and scenarios.
Thank you Connie!”
Scott, RCMP Candidate (2015)After being out of the workforce for nine years as a stay at home mom,and having done only two interviews in my 17 year career, I knew I would need assistance with the RCMP RMSI interview process. The type of interview I would be doing was based on competencies that required specific situations. Connie spent hours helping me hone my examples, even while she was on holiday out of Province! I was in awe of her knowledge and what she taught me to present my experiences well. I learnt SO much from her, I cannot thank her enough. I passed the interview and I know I could never had done it without Connie, she was truly instrumental in my success!

After finishing my program through the Nova Scotia Community College, I realized my resume was not very good at all, and it had been years since I went through an actual interview process. After a few meetings with Connie, I had my resume looking great, and I felt pretty confident when invited for an interview.
The interview went very well and the hiring manager loved my resume. I got the job!!
Thanks Connie
Trevor
As a new teacher in Nova Scotia, I was struggling to find employment in my field. I worked with Connie to develop a strong resume and cover letter and had my first interview in a matter of weeks. I was offered several interviews and I felt confident after working with Connie. I landed my first teaching position only a few months later! I’ve since been offered another position and am now working full-time teaching in my field of choice. She was available when I needed her, dedicated and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her services!
Megan
Teacher in the Annapolis Valley Regional School BoardAfter working in the same position for a few years, I thought I needed a career change. Throughout the years, my resume showed a wide variety of experience and I really didn’t know where I wanted to go next. I decided it would be best to speak to a career coach who could look at where I am and help me decide where I want to go. Connie and I discussed what my ideal job would be and where I wanted to be in the future. We also reviewed my resume and we made adjustments that would help my resume to stand out among other resumes. Also, I am currently showing interest in taking assignments with other units of our organization as this will help me build more experience and test drive various positions.
Thank you Connie for all your guidance that will help me move forward in my journey to a new career.

Government of CanadaConnie is very adept at building strong relationships with co-workers, clients and other stake holders. She was assigned significant tasks during an electronic records implementation project for the two major police agencies in Nova Scotia and was a key contributor to ensuring that the deliverables were achieved. When she transitioned into the human resources sector she demonstrated her strong leadership abilities by creating an environment that advanced service delivery for the RCMP in Halifax. In her new role, Connie will guide potential public service employees through the hiring process and demonstrate what it takes to be an exceptional candidate.
Bill Brydon
Director of Operations at Commissionaires Nova ScotiaConnie has been an amazing asset in my search for employment. She took the time to understand the industry I was interested in (accounting) as well as the companies I was applying to. Through working with Connie, my resume and cover letter were transformed into professional documents that I am proud to submit to employers.
Being in Ontario I was concerned that the distance would make it hard to work together, however this was not the case. She promptly replied to all emails I sent and made herself available to talk on the phone if I had any concerns. Working with Connie has made my job hunt an enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend her to both new grads and people looking to change careers.
-Richard C., Toronto, ONConnie has the knowledge and expertise necessary to examine a person’s situation and identify the pros and cons of seeking a new position. She is then able to provide expert advice on how to prepare for a new position or how to maximize opportunities with a current employer. When I was in a position to consider a career change, Connie’s advice in helping me get there was invaluable. With her coaching, I made the right decision. Thank you Connie.
Lane, Communications SpecialistIn preparing for an Executive level promotion within the Federal Government, I recognized that I would require assistance in preparing for the competency based interview. I contacted Connie and spent several hours working with her to develop my interviewing skills and to format my responses to better reach the benchmarks and levels required for each competency. Connie pushed me to reach beyond the obvious, and to take my answers to the next level. Her extensive knowledge of competency based interviews helped me to think strategically when formulating my responses, not just speaking to the example, but to look at it from a higher level. I attended the interview and applied the tactics Connie suggested. The confidence and level of professionalism that I demonstrated was a direct result of her coaching. I was successful in the interview and thank Connie for her support and coaching skills. I recommend her career coaching to anyone looking to improve on their abilities and performance for job interviews.
