Resume and Interview Workshops. Can they help? Are you facing challenges in either or both of these areas and could benefit from a Workshop? Is there a job for which you would like to apply but your resume is not up to date? Or you don’t know what you should put in your cover letter? Or maybe you’ve applied for a job and now are facing the interview. Do you feel ready? What should you do to prepare?
I am hosting two workshops in May to help you deal with either or both of these problems.
On May 10, at 10 am, I will be holding a one hour interactive Resume/Cover Letter Workshop designed to help you write a professional and effective resume. This will include:
- A half hour power point presentation providing up to date information on resume formats, what to include and what not to include;
- A sample job advertisement, and how to target your resume to that specific job;
- A worksheet designed to help you collect the relevant information to add to your resume.
This workshop will give you the tools you need to create professional resumes designed to target each specific job. Remember, every job for which you apply requires a new resume.
On May 10, at 11 am, immediately following the workshop for Resumes/Cover Letters, I will move into a one hour Interview workshop, covering everything you need to know about getting ready for your interview. This session will include:
- A half hour power point presentation providing information on different types of interviews, how to prepare, dressing for success, and do’s and don’ts;
- Mock interviews to practice responding to different types of questions;
- Getting a better perspective on how the board sees the interview from their side of the table.
This workshop will give you all the skills you require to get ready for your next interview.
These workshops are designed so you can attend the one that you need, or stay and take advantage of them both.
Check out the Workshops/Upcoming Events section of my website for more information and registration.
See you there!!
